We are excited to share our 2021 – 2022 Impact Report with you!
As Friends of the Children reflects on this monumental year, we are inspired by the youth in our program, the growing impact of our model, and the people that make it all possible. We are honored to celebrate 30 years of generational change and are hopeful for a bright future ahead with youth leading the way!
The 2021-2022 Impact Report highlights what sets Friends apart and as always, our commitment to working with youth for 12+ years, no matter what. Inside, you’ll find stories that show how the Friends of the Children professional, long term mentoring model empowers children to overcome great obstacles and reach for their dreams. You’ll read about program graduate Cardeana, who is now a high school biology teacher in Tennessee; He Sapa, our first culturally specific site created in partnership with an Indigenous community, the Lakota Oyate (people) of South Dakota; and the support of Friends of the Children by partners including Olympic gymnast and youth advocate Simone Biles, GRAMMY Award-winning artist Ciara, Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson, and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott.
We look forward to the next 30 years of mentoring, laughter, love, and inspiration. We welcome you to download our digital version of the Impact Report or view it online below. Please let us know how this work inspires you and share the impact report with your friends, family members, and personal network!
