Friends of the Children Joins the NFL’s Inspire Change Program
It was announced on December 15th that the National Football League (NFL) has invited Friends of the Children – National to become an Inspire Change Grant Partner. Friends of the Children will join the NFL’s program which recognizes a select few nonprofit organizations throughout the country with the aim of reducing barriers to opportunity.
“We are so honored to join the NFL’s Inspire Change program in the focus area of education,” said Terri Sorensen, CEO of Friends of the Children. “Additional resources from the program will help Friends of the Children empower even more youth across the country through paid, professional mentors.”
The NF’s Inspire Change program provides dedicated resources from the league, clubs, and players to nonprofit organizations; amplifies stories of change in communities; and helps develop public policy and government affairs resources at local, state, and federal levels. Funding from Inspire Change will support Friends of the Children in providing enhanced training, coaching, and resources to its existing network of nearly 50 sites, and increase the number of youth the organization can serve.
