February 05, 2024 Friends of the Children Honors Black History Month At Friends of the Children, we value our Black children, families, Friends, and National and Network staff and we are committed to listening, learning, respecting, and doing what we can to meet their needs. National Black History Month is a time for all of us to honor the contributions, the tenacity, and the love and history shared and passed down from Black Americans. Friends of the Children aims to uplift the lives, contributions, and stories of Black people every month, every week, and every day of the year. Join us as we honor their history, culture, and brilliance and continue to demand equity from ourselves and from our community to overcome personal, systemic, and institutional barriers.
