For over a decade, Melanie Adams has dedicated herself to uplifting the community through youth development, family enrichment and education. Her mission is to share her gifts and strengths to impact and empower children, families, and culturally responsive leaders.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Northern Illinois University. She earned her Master of Education degree with an emphasis on Youth Development Leadership from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and was trained in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at Northwestern University - School of Professional Studies.
In following her passion, she’s held positions as a College Coach, Foster Care Family Worker, Lead Teacher, Professional Mentor, Program Manager and Program Director. As a “Forever Friend”, Melanie has experienced firsthand the transformative effect that authentic relationships have in impacting generational change.
She is thrilled to be a part of this unique change model; and support the advancement of chapter establishment and program implementation. Melanie strives to build meaningful relationships with everyone she meets and is guided by the words of the inspiring Dr. Maya Angelou, “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Melanie currently resides in Chicago, Illinois and enjoys spending time with loved ones, practicing Pilates, traveling the world, and embracing new ideas & experiences.
