Kate Zelaya is joining Friends of the Children as a Senior Accountant in April 2024. Kate is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Colorado State University. Kate started her career in public accounting focusing in tax specialties. For the past two years, Kate as been working in nonprofit accounting at a university foundation. Kate lives in Parker, Colorado with her husband and baby. She enjoys thrifting, knitting, spending time outdoors, and with her friends and family.
