Erica Reid is driven by a personal mission of “serving youth, supporting families, and strengthening communities.” With over 15 years of experience, Erica has dedicated her career to empowering both young people and adults, drawing on her expertise in diverse educational and community settings, from homes and preschool classrooms to college lecture halls.
Understanding the profound role that communities play in shaping individuals, Erica actively seeks roles that align with her values and address significant needs. Recognized for her expertise with caregivers, she was brought on to serve as National Director of Programs, guiding the expansion of Friends of the Children’s impactful 2Gen model. Today, Erica is the Senior Director of Chapter Success, overseeing chapter-level excellence and impact across multiple Friends of the Children sites.
In addition to her role at Friends of the Children, Erica is an Adjunct Instructor for Early Childhood and K-12 Teacher Preparation Programs at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and a PBS NC Rootle Ambassador. A dedicated community leader, she is also an active member of numerous social and civic organizations. Erica resides in Charlotte, NC, where she continues to contribute to the strength and resilience of her community.
