Courtney Huck is originally from Portland, Oregon. She spent the past eight years in Seattle, Washington, and is currently residing in Bend, Oregon with her husband Brian, her son Miles, and daughter Ellie. Courtney started her professional career as a teacher and later worked as a specialist in a school district and education service district. She spent several years supporting teachers as a positive behavior support specialist, where she served on her district’s student services leadership team. In this role, she provided leadership, training, and coaching to school district staff on creating individualized support plans to holistically support each student, K-12, and create positive school climates where students thrive. She later completed a program in grant writing at San Diego State University and a program in strategic communications at the University of Washington and spent the past seven years building strong partnerships and securing funding at Friends of the Children-Seattle where she recently served as the director of grants.
Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University and a Master of Science degree in Education, Special Education, and Early Intervention from Portland State University. She is passionate about providing holistic support to positively impact children, families, and communities and is excited to expand our model to more communities across the country.
