Karie Conner is Vice President and General Manager of the North America Kids’ Business at Nike where she is focused on co-creating a world of sport with the next generation of athletes where ALL kids belong and experience the joy of sport. She is responsible for leading a cross-functional team to drive marketplace growth and profitability through innovative products and services. She’s a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she received her B.S. in Business Management and played for the Women’s Basketball Team.
After graduation, Karie held various roles in Merchandising and Sales Management for Philip Morris USA and Johnson & Johnson. Karie joined Nike in 2004, where she grew within the sales organization and held a variety of sales leadership roles across Strategic Accounts for Nike Basketball and Nike Sportswear and Jordan Brand.
In 2018, Karie was appointed to lead the Jordan Brand Men’s Business as Vice President and General Manager where she focused on shaping the future of basketball culture with the next generation through setting a vision and building strategies to grow both the Men's performance and streetwear businesses. A few key highlights of Karie’s work include, playing a key role in bringing the new Jordan Brand construct to life; leading product strategies for the Jordan Brand’s signature athletes like Russell Westbrook, Zion Williamson, Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic; leading the influencer strategy for Travis Scott; and shaping the Jordan X Dior partnership. She’s also been an active leader and sponsor of Jordan Brand’s $100 million commitment to invest in and support organizations focused on ending systemic racism.
Karie is also incredibly passionate about mentoring young women who aspire to achieve their career goals in the sports industry and also serves as Executive Sponsor for the North America DE&I Advisory Council and Women of Nike Network. Karie lives in Portland with her family – husband SirAllen and their two children, Layla and Champ.
