As Chief Digital Information Officer at Hasbro, Inc., Dan Shull oversees strategic planning, development, and management of Hasbro’s digital and information technology initiatives, including data analytics, IT and technical operations, information security, application development, client services, and consumer care. Charged with leading Hasbro’s digital transformation to establish a platform-first approach across the global organization, Dan ensures Hasbro is set up with the latest technology to drive improved efficiencies and better serve employees, partners and fans.
Dan joined Hasbro in July 2024 and brings over 25 years of Fortune 500 industry experience, previously serving as Chief Technology Officer at REI. He joined REI in 2018 as Vice President, Customer Technology and over his time at the company presided over key strategic initiatives for the technology team, including elevating the company’s cyber security position, migration to AWS and subsequent strategic transformation to optimize performance, and a functional reorganization to drive greater cost efficiencies and increase customer and employee satisfaction.
Prior to REI, Dan worked in management consulting and as Chief Information Officer at Signet Jewelers Inc. Previously, he spent seven years at Nike Inc. in key leadership roles, advancing to Vice President, Strategy, Architecture and Portfolio where he was, responsible for developing the future state vision for Nike Technology. He started his career at Borders Group Inc., where he held several leadership positions over the course of his combined 15 years at the company.
Dan has an MBA from University of Michigan and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Phoenix University. He previously served on the board of University of Washington Information School and on the national board of directors for non-profit organization Friends of the Children.
Dan and his wife Helana have been married for over 25 years and enjoy the company of their pets. You will regularly find them outside hiking and exploring Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest.
