Impact Entrepreneur Award
Friends of the Children was honored with the 2016 Impact Entrepreneur Award recognizing social non-profits for bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to an important social mission. The award was presented at the 2016 Elevating Impact Summit, hosted by Portland State University.
Friends of the Children was recognized as a best practice for applying data-driven analytics to track, evaluate and refine its program components to achieve both intermediate and long-term outcomes for its youth.
“Bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to an important social mission is a powerful thing,” said Gary Clemons, Friends’ vice president and chief program officer, who accepted the award on behalf of the organization. “We pride ourselves in empowering youth to reach their full potential, and we use data and analytics as key tool to ensure we achieve our mission.”
